Florence, Italy – What Things You Should Do Here
Florence is one of those cities that seems to be shrouded in arts and beauty. However, it is also a place that has been able to get some of the best art works that you can find in Europe. After all, Florence is at times referred to as the heart of the Renaissance. With that being the case, you should know that Florence is packed full of attractions for you to enjoy, so it can make it difficult for you to know about which one of them you should be going and seeing. That is why I have decided to go out and provide you with a list of the things that you should be doing when you are in Florence. Then it is easier for you to have a good time enjoying the city of Florence, but also in having a chance to get out and make a plan on where you should be going and what you need to do, even if you do not have a perfect itinerary to follow. With that being said, here are the top things you should do while you are in Florence, Italy.
Florence Artisan’s Workshop Visit
You may notice that with all the art around you in the city of Florence it will be very hard for you not to stop into a workshop. However, this is one of those stops you need to make. The art industry is one which made Florence into the beautiful city it is today, but it is also one of those things that allows you to find the perfect gift or memory item that you are going to bring home with you. So you need to make sure you stop in and visit some of the different art shops. These can vary from the fine leather craft goods that you can find, but it can be something like pottery as well. No matter what when you are getting it from the artist themselves you are going to be guaranteed of the quality of the products and not have to be concerned about them not lasting you for a long period of time or even starting to look tarnished or older as you are looking through all the shops or even as it sits lovingly in your home.
Stroll Through Palatine Gallery
While not a well known gallery, this is one of those places that you will want to go to if you want to avoid a lot of the crowds of the other major galleries that are in Italy. When you are looking at this gallery you will notice that it does have a lot of the works of the masters, but it also has some of the stunning works that you never heard of before by these masters. Some of the works are by Raphael and even Andrea del Sarto. The artworks are done by the masters, but what is even more amazing is the fact the museum is not that popular so it tends to be a little bit emptier than what you imagine. So the Palatine Gallery is definitely a place that you need to go and visit because it is going to simply blow your mind and allows you to have a great time exploring the artworks that are beautiful.
Visit The Boboli Gardens
The Boboli Gardens and the Palatine Gallery are tied in with each other and they are both must sees. The ticket you use from the Gallery will allow you to have admission to the gardens. However, the Boboli Gardens are one of those aspects that you are going to want to stop at. This garden has plenty of space for you to get some quiet and a chance to take in the stunning splendor of the location. The Boboli Gardens also one of those places that is very easy to overlook at as well, but what is amazing is the fact this is the gardens that have helped to make Florence famous over the years and definitely is a place you need to see. You can find some of the grottoes that are present in the gardens are going to make it easier for you to sneak away and just reflect as well, but the fountains are a great draw as well as they are marvelous and tend to provide you with some of the amazing looks that you would want to have and definitely a good photo op if you want to take a picture to remember your trip even more.
Check Out The Bardini Garden
An even lesser known garden than the Boboli Garden is the Bardini Garden. This is a garden that has the qualities that you would want to have in a place, but it also has the seclusion as well. So if you really want to get away from almost everything that you can imagine when you are traveling in Florence you will want to check out the Bardini Garden. What is really nice is the location of this garden does make it easier for you to have some of the commanding views that you would want to have of the city. Now depending on the time of the year that you are in Florence you may notice the flowers in this garden are some of the most amazing ones that you can find and this will make it easier for you to have an amazing trip and see the garden in full bloom without having to worry about missing out on the attractions.
Take A Trip To Fiesole
Sometimes you will want to get out and visit some of the ruins that are seen from some of the ancient cultures. This is a place that you are going to be able to go to and do just that. The ruins you will see here are going to be more of the original culture that is present from the region in the form of the Estrucans, but you will also notice that you can still see some of the Roman ruins as well. This is going to make it easier for you to see the history of the region and know that it is going to be something that you are going to love. However, it is going to take a half day if you want to really get out and enjoy the beauty of the city because it is outside of the Florence city proper and is more in the hills that are going to be seen as overlooking the beautiful city that a lot of people are not going to come out of, but because you know about this hidden gem it will be easier for you to see this is an amazing place to go and visit.
Take A Walk On Ponte Vecchio
You may think it would seem a little odd to take a walk along a bridge, but you need to realize when you are in Florence this is one of those famous bridges you are going to want to take a walk across. The bridge gives you some of the commanding views of the river, but it also allows you to have an easier route to walk along the river as well. Walking along the river and sensing the romanticism that is present in the river is definitely something else that you are going to want do because it is going to make it easier for you to have a fantastic trip that you are going to enjoy, but also have a chance to relax as well.
What Else Can You Do?
You can do a lot of things when you are Florence, but we have to say twhat we have provided you has a tendency to keep you very happy and busy as well. The shops alone can be a couple of days of shopping and you still may miss out on some of the amazing shops that are in Florence. No matter what, when you are in Florence you have to open up your taste buds to an amazing experience as your taste buds have never experienced before. When you start to eat the food that is here, you will notice that it is going to take you out of your comfort zone and make it easier for you to have a trip that you are going to enjoy. Now all you have to do is make sure you know about Florence and the rest of Italy to guarantee you have a great vacation that is full of enjoyment for your family.
