Beautiful Places Near Zurich
Zurich is one of those places that you are going to really fall in love with when you are looking at the Zurich attractions you will notice most of them are located in the city proper. This is when you should start to know more about the beautiful places near Zurich as well because you will most likely not want to be stuck in the city the entire time. Since this is the case, I have decided it was time to share some of the beauty that you can find outside of the city itself. Then you can start to plan your holiday to the region and know you are going to have a great trip that you may have never thought possible before. Without this information, though, it is still possible to find stuff to do near Zurich and even in the city, but it may not be as fun and interesting!

6. Zurich Wilderness Park
This is a place that is going to combine a regular deciduous forest and a conifer forest together, but it will be an amazing blend for you to enjoy. The best part is this is going to be one of the oldest wildlife parks in Switzerland and this will make it easier for you to see the animals and trees that have not really been disturbed since this was a place that was demarked as a park. In this area, it is going to have some great trees as it has not been logged since the 1990’s and was preserved since then. The location does offer a couple of disjointed locations, but one of them is going to be the zoo. Inside of the zoo, you are going to have a great time because it is mainly home to native or formerly native animals. The other section is South of Zurich and it will make it easier for you to enjoy because it is a larger forest called Sihlwald Forest for you to enjoy as it is mainly covered with beech trees and some of the trees will be over two hundred and fifty years old.
5. Felsenegg
Do you want to experience a commanding view of Lake Zurich and the city itself? If you do then you will want to take the cable car up to this location. This place is going to give you a great view and definitely going to be one that will allow you to have some great picture taking opportunities. The cable car ride up to the top is one that you will enjoy as well and once you are at the top you will see that you can enjoy the views as well. What else is great about the place is you can finally see the different attractions that you may want to go out and see later on in the day. What else you will like about the area, if you are able to withstand the higher altitude with breathing is the fact this place has some great walking paths for you to enjoy as well.
4. Lindenhof Hill
When you are looking at historic Zurich you will notice that Lindenhof Hill is one of those places that is mentioned quite a bit. That is because this is a location that is definitely going to have a great area for you to enjoy and it is actually the main square of the older town. Since this is the older town square it makes it easier for you to enjoy the region and see what it was like a long time ago. Some of the remains that are seen in the Lindenhof Hill area will include the pre-historic ruins and even some of the Roman settlements that were in the area. No matter what, if you want to see a beautiful place that has a decent view and a lot of history then you will want to check out Lindenhof Hill.
3. Bahnhofstrasse
This is a location that is not only near Zurich, but it is one of those places that you will see is almost exclusive to those who have money. That is because this is a street that is in Zurich and often considered one of the main streets. The street is one that will amaze you because it is considered one of the richest shopping streets in the world, but it will also make you cry when you realize that most of the items on the street you cannot afford. However, it never hurts to go down and see the luxury and opulence that is seen here.
2. Uetilberg
If you are looking for something that can be fun to do then you may want to consider Uetilberg. This is a mountain that is part of the chain that is around Zurich, but I can tell you that this is definitely going to be worth going up to visit. The mountain is going to give you some commanding views of the area and allow you to take in the breathtaking views. What else is great is the adventure up to the mountain will give you something that you are sure to love as it will make it quite a bit easier for you to enjoy the view from the top, but also on the way up the mountain and on the way down as well.

Sometimes, when you are in Zurich it is very easy to overlook one of the most beautiful attractions in the city and that is Lake Zurich. This is one lake that will really take your breath away and amaze you. The lake is also one of the main attractions and you will want to try to get out on the lake if you can. This can usually be done by renting a boat for the day or afternoon, but it is an adventure you will not forget. The downside is most of the boats are going to be cruises that you will have to book in advance so make sure you book early so you can get a cruise. If you don’t then you could be disappointed in what you are going to be able to do. Overall, though, this is one of those places that you have to check out because it is simply amazing.

While you may think that when you travel to Zurich you would want to stay in the city, you need to realize a lot of attractions are outside of the city.
