Dublin is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and when you travel to Dublin it is easy for you to see that you are going to have a great vacation because of so many attractions to see. The biggest reason you could have a horrible trip is you end up staying at a hotel that does not live up to all the hype that you were expecting it to have and not really like the place you were staying in and souring your entire outlook on the city. Quite a bit of research is one of the primary ways that I narrowed down my list. I tried to put myself in the mindset of a visitor to my country and figure out what they would like. So I figured one of the primary factors to use was the location of the hotel in the distance. However, what I decided to look at in addition to that is the features or amenities the hotels all offered as well, but also the comfort of the location. All of these factors combined with some of the others that most people would consider normal are what I took into account to rank my list of the hotels you are seeing here and should consider booking when you travel to Dublin.

1. The Alex

The Alex is a place that is not located in a lot of the major built-up areas, but it is located close enough that you can easily walk to most places or even catch a taxi. I have to say, that if you are going to see the Royal Irish Academy of Music then this could be a great place for you to stay in because it is not far from the location at all. So that is a plus, but also the location will make it quite a bit easier for you to get the enjoyment you want for a rest as it is not located directly in downtown where you could have all the loud noises that could end up keeping you up all night.

As far as the amenities you will like the fact this hotel does offer a breakfast buffet to enjoy and start the day off right. However, it also has free WiFi which is a nice feature as well. Then you will want to know about the fact this place has an on-site restaurant and an amazing room service staff that will definitely address all of your needs. So this is definitely a major plus when you consider so many hotels have went away from the world class type of room service you would expect to see when you are staying in a major city.

The Blooms is a place that could fall under the not so family-friendly location, but it is a great launching point to go out and explore Dublin. Which is what makes this such a challenging location to gauge because it is amazing and it is definitely going to be a great place for you to stay in.The main issue is the bar or lounge area can be a great spot to spend an evening after you have been out on the town, but you will find it can also be a very loud part of the hotel as well and this can easily make it way to loud for you to sleep at night. Thankfully in most cases, the noise is not overly loud unless the location you are staying at is close to the lounge.

When you are staying at this Dublin hotel, though, you will notice it does have an amazing restaurant that has a variety of foods available for you to enjoy. At the same time, it will also have a decent seating that will allow you to plan your day around Dublin and know you are going to have a great trip the next day. When you wake up in the morning you will find the breakfast buffet to have plenty of food options for you to enjoy as well, which is going to help you out in making the proper choice for the food in the morning. Then you can head out and enjoy your day on the city and know you are not going to need to waste time sitting down for lunch at one of the excellent restaurants.

What else is nice is this is a hotel that has a trendy type of design to it as well, which can be relaxing for some people because it does help give the property more of a modern type of feel to it that they may enjoy more than a traditional hotel that has an older design.

One amenities this location does have that is not common in a lot of the European hotels, definitely, those in Dublin, is the fact the hotel has a pool. The Ballsbridge is very close to the rugby pitch which means it can get a little crazy at times but it is a great place to stay at while you are traveling to Dublin. The best part is the hotel does not skimp on the amenities it has as well as it will definitely allow you to have a lot of the same amenities you would find at some of the other larger hotels, but the proximity to the sports venues can make this place crazy at times for people.

The Schoolhouse Hotel is a place that is going to be off the beaten path and it will definitely provide you with the great feel you want to have. However, what else is nice about this place is the fact that it is going to make it quite a bit easier for you to have a place that has off-street parking if you rent a car to get to the hotel. However, it also is a place that has easy access to almost all of the places you would want to see in the city of Dublin. What else is great about this place is the fact that it is going to have a great vacation as the rooms are going to be very cost and comfortable and in some cases it has been rated as some of the highest places you can find in Dublin to stay in.

What is really great is the close location to the canal that you can walk over and see. However, this does mean it will take you a little bit to get to the downtown area, but this place is simply amazing and if you do not want to be in the downtown area, but still be close enough to get to the downtown area quickly then I would have to say the Schoolhouse Hotel is definitely the place you need to check out because it is a great hotel to enjoy and have a good time with comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast option.

6. Drury Court Hotel

The Drury Court Hotel is one of the cleanest locations you can find in Dublin and it is within a close walking distance of all the attractions, well at least the major ones in Dublin. This is definitely a plus for this hotel because it makes it easier for you to have a great time in the city and know you will have a good time. The downside is this also means it can get quite a bit of traffic as well and can take you some time to get used to the traffic that can come around in the hotel at night from the people who are streaming back into the hotel. So this is definitely something you need to take into account because it can make a difference in how well you are going to rest at night.

What is great about this location is it is meant for a budget. However, unlike some of the budget locations, you could be used to when you are traveling this is one that is going to make it easier for you to have a good trip that will allow you to have a great place to rest at night as the beds are very comfortable and the best part is if you want to have a cuppa in the middle of the day you can as this is available at the location as well.

This really is going to depend on what you are looking for in the hotel and if you want to be close to everything or if you mind having to take a little drive to reach the area. With that being said, I know the top rated hotel has quite a bit going for it, but in all honesty, the split between these hotels is so small that the sixth place hotel could have easily been ranked near the top if not at the top. So this definitely something to take into account as well.
