Discover The Beautiful Saint Regis Hotel In Vancouver
Finding a great hotel to stay at is key to having a good start to a vacation in Canada or any other place you decide to travel to. The problem you may see, though, is a city can have so many hotels that it is impossible to find the best place to stay at times. We know this is a real pain, especially when it is a place that has a lot of hotels that you can visit and stay in because the number of places to stay in is tremendous and difficult to decide. That is why we have decided to expand on our best hotels in Vancouver for families post, and include individual reviews of each of the hotels that made our list. In this case, we are going to review the Saint Regis hotel, which is located in beautiful downtown Vancouver.
Factors I Considered When Reviewing The Saint Regis
You may think that I did not really take a lot of time reviewing the Saint Regis, but I decided to avoid that misconception I would share the factors I am using on how I am basing this review. That way you are able to avoid a lot of the problems you get with some reviews of them not giving you the factors they used. The factors I used are listed below.

- Friendliness of the staff
- On-site amenities
- What other reviewers thought of the location
As you can tell this list is fairly easy to follow, but it also is one that I have found to guide me in a lot of choices on hotels. You may ask yourself, why do I take into account the other reviews? Well, that is easy not everyone is going to have the same experience as me, some people will have a downright horrible experience. So I decided to provide some insight as to what other people have found useful or had issues with so you are getting a complete review.
Location Of The Saint Regis Hotel In Vancouver
I will provide the physical street address of the Saint Regis as well as some of the different attractions that are nearby. This will give you a good idea of where you are going to be staying at and know what you can do in the region. Since this is the case, the physical address of the Saint Regis is at:

One of the best features about the Saint Regis is it is only a few blocks away from the waterfront in Vancouver. So you will not have a long walk to reach the water, but also be able to avoid some of the headaches that are present by being right on the water at the same time.
If you are an art lover, you will enjoy the fact the Saint Regis Hotel is not far from the Vancouver Art Gallery. This, in turn, makes it easier for you to go in and enjoy looking at some wonderful art works if you want, but at the same time know you are not far from your hotel in the downtown region. Yes, another art gallery is close by and it focuses mainly on the Northwestern Arts in the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art.
Lovers of the theater will like the fact the Queen Elizabeth Theater is not from the location either. Since this is the case, it will make it quite a bit easier for people to find the right place to go and catch a theater show if one is happening when they are visiting.
Vancouver Lookout is not that far of a walk either. The lookout is one that will provide you with some of the stunning views you would want to get when you are visiting Vancouver, but it also makes it easier for you to have a great time in the location as well.
Finally, the outdoor garden lovers will enjoy the fact the hotel is a short walk from the Telus Garden. This garden is a great one for people to go and visit, but it is also very enjoyable for people to go out and enjoy the outdoors and see some beautiful plants at the same time.
Selection Of Rooms At Saint Regis
The Saint Regis is a location that is not like a lot of the other larger hotels you may have stayed in while traveling. This is a hotel that allows you to have some choices in rooms, but because it is considered more of a boutique style location it does not always have everything you would want to have. So this is limiting at times to the selection of rooms.
As far as the rooms go, they are extremely comfortable and will provide you with a nice place to lay down at night, but they are not going to have any of the rooms that would have like a king suite with a jacuzzi tub in the room. When I last checked, the hotel had a queen suite, which had a queen bed and a sofa bed. It also had a double bed and a single queen bed. All of these are going to work on some level, but if you are traveling with a large family then the room may not work for your needs or as much as you would hate it, you may need to get a second room.
What is nice is the Saint Regis is limited to only sixty-five rooms so you will not have the kids running up and down the hallway at all hours of the night. You will also find the rooms are smoke-free, which is going to make it easier for you to breathe at night and know you do not have to be concerned about the rooms smelling like smoke.
Friendliness Of The Staff At The Saint Regis Hotel
Traveling to Canada often means you are going to meet quite a few people. Some of them will be nice and some of them not really that nice, usually, that is only if you are cheering against their team in hockey and only during the game. Go Canucks! At the Saint Regis, in my experience, the staff has been extremely friendly and would bend over backward to help you out as much as possible. This was my experience and as I said before the reason why I do so much in the way of reading the other reviews is some people may have a completely different experience than what I have had and this can change the way they think of the hotel.
Amenities Available At The Saint Regis Hotel
You are in Canada so a pool is not going to be among the top amenities you will find at almost any hotel. Instead, you will notice at the Saint Regis one of the top amenities is the fact they offer ski storage. Yes, ski storage made it into a list of amenities, which I find kind of surprising that more hotels in Vancouver and Canada do not already offer. However, the ski storage allows you to have your skis protected, but also avoids tracking any snow or ice into the hotel itself, which could easily lead to you having to pay more for repairs.
At the Saint Regis you will find they do have a restaurant on site. The food that is sold at the restaurant is good quality and it is going to make it easier on you to get some great food without having to leave the hotel to get it. This really can come in handy when you are looking at the places come winter and the snow comes rolling in out of nowhere.
As we mentioned you do have the ski storage. What do you do, though, if you hit the slopes to hard? Well, you usually would head back to your doctor or massage therapist when you got back home. However, with the Saint Regis they have on site massage and spa sessions. So you do not have to wait until you get home to get your muscles worked over, you just have to make sure you go to the spa early enough to get taken care of.
A great feature that I really liked was the fact they have a free full breakfast. Usually, when you are at a hotel they only offer a continental type of breakfast to eat with rolls. However, here they like to know you are taken care of and ready to go out on the day and that is why they offer a free full breakfast. Then you can go out and start your day off right and know you will not get hungry halfway through the day and need to stop touring beautiful Vancouver to get food.

My Final Take On The Saint Regis Hotel In Downtown Vancouver
The Saint Regis is a gorgeous hotel in Downtown Vancouver. It is a lot smaller than what some of the other buildings are around it, so a room with a view may not be available. However, it is a hotel that has a lot of the comforts you would expect, a reasonable price for a downtown location, and it also has some great people that help you out if you need it. Keeping that in mind, we have to say that we personally love the location and find it as one of the best hotels in Vancouver, but because of the location and cuteness of the place have to say it is a good place for your kids to go to with you as well.
