Biltmore

The Biltmore is one place that has tended to put the city of Asheville on the map. The estates are one that everyone is going to love checking out, but also one place that people fall in love with and want to come back to each time. Now, the estate that is Biltmore definitely one place you need to check out. It has the history and the look that has had so many people fall in love with it.

I will tell you that if you are going to Asheville and are looking for one of the main attractions in Asheville then you have to get the tickets to go to Biltmore. The tickets may seem a little bit expensive for what you are doing, but you have to realize the estate does not have all that you see for free. So the price is well worth it and definitely going to give you a new perspective on some of the older homes that are in your area and the potential that most homes have in them.

North Carolina Arboretum

If you like nature or trees then you need to check out the North Carolina Arboretum. This location is one that has plenty for you to see and do. The North Carolina Arboretum is one place that actually has an international draw, just like the Biltmore above. However, unlike some of the places that do not have a real big name or draw that helps outside, the Arboretum has plenty of natural beauty.

When you go to the arboretum you will actually notice that it is so much more than what you were expecting. The location has plenty of plants, which is obvious by the name. However, it also has plenty of walking paths for you to follow and enjoy the outdoors as well. The North Carolina Arboretum has enough trails that you are going to be able to get your days exercise in as well. Throw in the fact that you can easily exam the plants and learn about them at the same time and it is easy to see why this is such a popular attraction in Asheville.

Asheville Pinball Museum

If you have ever played a pinball game, then you know the fun and enjoyment the game can bring to you. I mean it is almost instant for the pinball games to start to have the flashing light s and sounds that have driven people mad in playing pinball. Now, what else is really cool about the Asheville Pinball Museum is the fact that it has plenty of pinball games for you to play.

Yes, you read that right the Pinball Museum is a place that allows you to not only look at the older pinball machines, but play them as well. Now, this does not mean that you will have a chance to play each game, but it does mean you will have a good chance to play a lot of the older games that are the ones that you or your parents may have grew up playing down at the video arcade. I will warn you a common complaint is about the price of the pinball museum, but I will tell you that for me it is worth the cost to relive your childhood.

Blue Ridge Parkway Waterfalls

Waterfalls are one of the most beautiful features that nature provides us. However, with the proximity of the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville it is rather easy to see that the Blue Ridge Parkway Waterfalls are one of the top attractions in the area. While this will take you out of the city, it is going to be important that you take the time and if you can find a great tour book that points out where the waterfalls are located so you do not pass them up.

Now, something else that you need to realize is for a lot of the waterfalls on the Blue Ridge Parkway you are going to have to hike to them. You may find that the parking lots are going to be easy for you to find, but it will be easy to follow the trails to get to the location. Western North Carolina Nature Center

The Western North Carolina Nature Center is one place that you can really fall in love with. The place is located in the Asheville area, but what is really nice about the location is it has the proper certifications from the Association of Zoos & Aquarium.  Now, that does give you a clue as to what the place offers, but it is going to be different than most of the zoos that you have visited in other places.

When you visit the Western North Carolina Nature Center it actually focuses mainly on the area the center is located in. The animals and the plants that are in the location are going to make it easier for you to learn about the plants that are in the region. However, what is really interesting is the fact that the animals you are seeing tend to be comfortable and well cared for. The comfort comes from the fact that the animals are in their natural habitat and not overly stressed out from the location.

Antique Tobacco Barn

Tobacco is not in right now, but the funny thing is the tobacco barns are still in use in a lot of areas. Granted, they are not being used for tobacco as much, but instead for shopping centers, malls, and in this case an antique mall. Yes, I know antiquing is something that you would normally be dragged along with your grandma to do on a Saturday afternoon, but that is not always the case.

When you are at the Antique Tobacco Barn you can literally find anything that you are looking for. The location has almost anything that you need antique wise. What is even better is the chance to walk through multiple vendors at once and while that may give the location a flea market type of feel, it does not always have to feel like that and actually is very nice compared to some of the places you could be going to for shopping.

Which Of The Asheville Attractions Should You Go To?

Asheville does have quite a few attractions and great shopping locations as well. However, one thing that is a common theme is the love of the outdoors.
